About this studio
North Shore School of Dance is based at 505 Laurel Ave in Highland Park, Illinois, and has been teaching on Chicago's North Shore for over 35 years under the motto "Where Our Dancers Come First". The school takes students from two and a half years old through adults at all levels of training, in a stated aim of building a passion for dance in a positive and nurturing environment. Its program is split into a Pre-Dance Division, a Student Division and adult classes, with private coaching also available. Two performance groups, North Shore Ballet Theatre and the Dance Collective/Ensemble, audition annually. The school produces The Nutcracker, a spring ballet, a spring concert and a pre-dance showcase each year, and runs summer camps and intensives as well as a student choreography competition. It also hosts birthday parties and rents studio space.
