Dance classes in Santa Fe, New Mexico
National Dance Institute of New Mexico (NDI New Mexico) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit that has been teaching dance to New Mexico children since 1994 and marked its 30th anniversary recently. Its stated belief is that the arts have a unique power to engage and motivate children, and it works to reach young people regardless of income, language, or cultural and physical challenges, teaching that hard work and an uncompromising standard of excellence build self-respect. The organization serves children aged 3 to 18 through in-school residencies with roughly 300 teachers in about 90 public schools statewide, plus after-school and studio programs at its two venues: the Hiland Theater in Albuquerque and the Dance Barns in Santa Fe. Studio offerings include young children's classes, junior and senior divisions for ages 7-18, a pre-professional track and adult classes, alongside Teaching Excellence workshops for educators and regular public performances.
