Nancy L Stewart

The Dance Teacher is a boutique dance studio at 429 Gaston Foster Rd., Suite B in Orlando, Florida, founded in 1985 by Nancy Stewart, who holds a B.A. in Dance Pedagogy and is certified in Autism Movement Therapy. It teaches ages two and a half through adult: preschool dance and creative movement for the youngest children, Exploring Dance for ages 5-7, Ballet & Beyond for ages 7-10 combining classical barre and center work with contemporary, and tween and teen programs focused on ballet, jazz and musical theatre with pointe introduced after individual readiness assessment. Adult classes cover ballet, modern, jazz, tap and dance fitness. Beyond the studio, The Dance Teacher runs after-school enrichment as an approved OCPS vendor, daytime classes for homeschool groups and co-ops, and customised on-site adaptive adult day training programs for adults with varying exceptionalities and seniors. Students appear in studio recitals.
