Russian Ballet of Americas

Russian Ballet Orlando is a 501(c)(3) non-profit classical ballet academy and company at 618 North Mills Avenue in Orlando, Florida, founded in 2000 by Ukrainian ballet masters Vadim Fedotov and Irina Depler and now in its 23rd season. It is directed by their daughter Katerina Fedotova, a fourth-generation dancer from Kiev, and teaches the Vaganova method, covering technique, pointe, variations, partnering, stretch and conditioning. The youth academy takes students from age 3, a professional company was added in 2021, and the organization says it runs the largest adult ballet program in Central Florida with two or three classes a day, five days a week, from beginner to advanced. Private lessons, aftercare, ten themed summer camp weeks and a five-week summer intensive culminating in a full production of Le Corsaire are also offered, with visiting artistic directors flown in to scout advanced students. The company presents 25 or more full-length classical productions a season, including Cinderella, The Nutcracker, Carmen with Opera Orlando and Giselle, at theatres across Central Florida, and gives free monthly ballet classes through Project Releve plus an annual free Nutcracker in downtown Orlando.
