About this studio
The McGinley School of Irish Dance is based at 701 Pear Street in Lemoyne, Pennsylvania, and teaches traditional Irish dance across Central Pennsylvania. It began in 1999 when Lena McGinley, ADCRN, started teaching six students, and what was originally a small performance troupe has grown into an established Irish dance school. Over more than twenty years Lena and her sister Annie McGinley, ODCRN, have taught hundreds of dancers ranging in age from 2 through adulthood. The school's stated goal is to promote Irish heritage and dancing while striving for excellence in performance and technical standards for competition, and to encourage and challenge children both in Irish dance and in life. Students compete at feiseanna, perform publicly and take part in community service.
