Ballroom Central Pittsburgh is an adult ballroom studio at 300 Mt Lebanon Boulevard in the city's South Hills, offering lessons for over thirteen years with instructors who say they have been dancing, competing and teaching for more than twenty. Classes run from beginner through advanced and cater to social and competitive dancers alike. Group classes are 60 minutes and grouped into four-week monthly sessions at Beginner, Pre-Intermediate, Intermediate and Advanced levels; each session covers one Standard and one Latin dance, with new figures taught in week one, technique in weeks two and three, and consolidation in week four. Classes are for couples with no partner changing, class sizes are capped and walk-ins are not accepted, so students must book ahead. The studio also teaches private lessons and wedding first dances, has a raised hardwood floor, free parking, and runs socials, showcases and Dance of the Month workshops.
