Ballet Academy East is a ballet school at 1651 Third Avenue, 3rd floor, on New York City's Upper East Side. It describes itself as a center for complete ballet education, aiming to help students reach their highest potential in a caring and nurturing environment, and teaches with live pianists in class. Training is organized by division: a Young Dancer Division for ages 18 months to 6 years, a Primary Division for ages 6 to 7, a Children and Teen Division for ages 7 to 14 on a non-professional track, and an audition-entry Pre-Professional Division for aspiring dancers aged 7 to 19 which also accepts international students. An Adult Division runs in-studio and virtual classes, and BAE also offers Adaptive Dance, a sensory-friendly program. Summer options include an August Intensive, a Junior Summer Course and Summerdance Camp. The school presents student performances, rents studio space and hosts children's birthday parties.
