About this studio
Hearts in Motion Dance was founded in 2010 with the aim of creating a studio where all students could enjoy dance. It began with Saturday drop-in classes, held its first annual recital in spring 2011 with 30 participants, and later sold out a recital at Wealthy Theatre before outgrowing its temporary home. In summer 2015 it moved to a larger facility at 4336 Plainfield Ave NE in Grand Rapids, Michigan, with three studios on professionally sprung floors, and it has since opened a satellite location in downtown Ada for students aged 10 and under, complete with a small boutique shop. Styles taught include hip hop, lyrical, jazz and poms across a range of levels and age groups, with a fall program and summer session.
