Flamenco Vivo Carlota San

Flamenco Vivo Carlota Santana is a New York non-profit flamenco organization, marking more than 40 years as a leader of flamenco in America and carrying forward the legacy of founders Carlota Santana and Roberto 'Bobby' Lorca. Its work is grouped into three strands: Experiencias, which presents performances, tablaos, traditional juergas open to all experience levels and public classes, including an NYC Flamenco Pass subscription; Evolucion, which develops the next generation of artists through the Developing Artists program, the Cuadro, artists-in-residence and the Flamenco Certamen USA, described as the nation's only competition for up-and-coming and established flamenco artists, with prizes including cash, performance opportunities and scholarships to study in Spain; and Comunidad, which delivers K-12 programs and educator resources. Its Midtown studios, the first in New York built for flamencos by flamencos, closed in May 2026 while the organization seeks a new space.
