Detroit Flyhouse Circus School

Detroit Flyhouse Circus School operates from 1321 Watson Street in Detroit and has served students and the surrounding community for more than 15 years. It trains students of all ages and experience levels, from complete beginners through professional circus performers, in traditional circus arts including aerial silks, trapeze, aerial hoop (lyra), aerial sphere, flying pole, partner acrobatics, contortion, hula hoop dance and fire performance, alongside choreography and conditioning classes. Programming is organized into weekly sessions at beginner, intermediate and advanced levels, plus drop-in classes, one-off workshops, open gym Open Fly sessions, private lessons and parties. Instructors complete extensive teacher training and continuing education, and classes are run as a non-competitive, body-positive environment. Students perform in twice-yearly student circus variety shows, and the school's sister operation Detroit Circus books professional performers.
