About this studio
The Blue Ridge Studio for the Performing Arts was established in 1991 and sits in downtown Berryville, Virginia, serving families across the northern Shenandoah Valley for more than 30 years. Classes are kept deliberately small so students receive individual attention, and while technique is the main objective the studio also aims to expose dancers to a wide variety of forms, styles and choreography. Creative Movement introduces pre-schoolers aged 3 to 5 to rhythm and expression, while ballet is taught from classical foundations drawing on Vaganova, Cecchetti and French methods. Jazz and tap begin at age 7 and run through advanced levels, and hip hop, acro and modern are also offered. A dedicated adult class combines jazz, tap and fitness.
