Beyond Dance Inc

Beyond Dance Center for the Performing Arts is at 8009 3rd Avenue in Brooklyn, New York, and is entering its 22nd season with more than 250 students. The school states it balances traditional and innovative teaching methods in a rigorous but nurturing environment, aiming to develop each student's individual talents alongside character, creativity, confidence and social awareness. Classes cover ballet, jazz, hip hop, tap, modern, contemporary and acro, and are open to dancers of all skill levels from age 2.5 through adults and professionals. The center also runs We Push Beyond, an inclusive dance program celebrating music and dance for dancers of all abilities, and Beyond Ballroom, which provides wedding first-dance lessons. A First Steps summer mini program is offered for the youngest dancers. Registration opens online in August with in-person sign-up sessions in early September and enrollment continuing through the year.
