To be directed by guest director Mason York, Goldsmith’s comedy of manners is a wild romp in the lives of a family and their sordid adventures. In the play, Mr. Hardcastle, a wealthy countryman, hopes to arrange a marriage between his daughter Kate, performed by Anastasia Munoz, and Charles Marlow, played by Seth Magill. Although he is the son of a rich Londoner, Kate realizes she will have to pretend to be ‘common’ for Marlow to fall for her. A practical joke leads to misunderstandings that must be resolved before Kate’s plan can succeed.
