Uptown Players presents its 20th annual fundraiser Broadway Our Way '23. This year's production is written and directed by B.J. Cleveland, choreographed by Jeremy Dumont with music direction by Kevin Gunter and Vonda K Bowling and musical arrangements by Adam C. Wright. Broadway Our Way will run Apriil 20 - 23, at the Kalita Humphreys Theater.

Uptown Players has announced its 2022 season at the Kalita Humphreys Theater. The season will feature regional premieres of the critically acclaimed 2013 Tony Award winner for Best Musical, Kinky Boots, and the regional premiere of the 2019 Tony nominated two-act revival of the original 1983 trilogy Harvey Fierstein’s Torch Song.
On Friday, August 20, Summer Stern will take to the stage as Little Alison in Uptown Players’s production of the musical Fun Home, roughly a full year since the show’s original opening was delayed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The production runs August 20-29 at the Kalita Humphreys Theatre.
Uptown Players, a professional theater group located in the Uptown area of Dallas, has announced its 2019-2020 season at the Kalita Humphreys Theater. The season will feature the regional premieres of the 2015 Tony Award winning musical, Fun Home, the 2019 Outer Critics Circle and Drama League nominated musical, Head Over Heels, and a new twist on the Nunsense holiday special, Nuncrackers. In addition, the season will include the 2017 Tony Award nominated play, Six Degrees of Separation. Uptown Players will also present two bonus add-on shows to its season lineup: the world premiere of the latest play (based on the hit film) from Del Shores, A Very Sordid Wedding and Uptown Players' annual fundraising production, Broadway Our Way.
Uptown Players presents its 17th annual fundraiser Broadway Our Way '19. This year's production is written by B.J. Cleveland, directed and choreographed by B.J. Cleveland and Jeremy Dumont with Music Direction by Kevin Gunter and will run May 10 - May 12, 2019, at the Moody Performance Hall.
After an incredibly successful workshop run at Theatre Three's Theater Too in Dallas, playwright Jessica Cavanagh's SELF-INJURIOUS BEHAVIOR is headed for a New York showcase run at Urban Stages. Produced by the Dallas-based team of Cavanagh, actor/director Marianne Galloway, and producer Bren Rapp, the play will run in April during Autism Awareness Month and will feature the original workshop cast under Galloway's direction. Along with the cast of seven, which includes Dallas acting powerhouses Ian Ferguson, Danielle Pickard, Jennifer Kuenzer and Cavanagh, starring as a fictionalized version of herself, the orignal Dallas production and design team including set designer Jeff Schimdt (Artistic Director of Theatre Three) will be involved in transitioning the show from its local workshop phase to its New York showcase. Acting as associate producer, former DFW actor/artist now based in New York, Montgomery Sutton, will help to bring the play to the New York market.
