ITS ALIVE!! A brilliant, sex-starved neurosurgeon receives news that hes just inherited his grandfathers estate; the infamous Dr. Victor Von Frankenstein. Unable to escape the family business, the young professor leaves his wildly promiscuous fianc in New York to embark on a hayride adventure to Transylvania where he discovers the horrors of his zany familys legacy to be very real and very musical! Arrive ready to have your photo taken and to sign some paperwork. Photos will be used for the Starboard. Please do not bring props to the audition. Also, the casting committee requests that you do not wear costumes or face paint. Audition Requirements:Adults ages 17+Arrive at 8:30 a.m. Auditions begin at 9:00 a.m.Plan to stay until about 1:00 p.m. with a couple of short breaks. Bring water and a lunch/snack!Prepare a self-selected one-minute memorized monologue (nothing from Young Frankenstein) and be familiar with the script (please note, this show contains mature themes).Prepare two (2) contrasting songs each cut one-minute max (nothing from Young Frankenstein). You will need to bring your own tracks (there will not be an accompanist). Please bring a flash drive or email tracks ahead of time to production managers, no CDs.Demonstrate a Romanian accent if they want certain roles like Inga (who also needs to yodel), Frau Blucher, and Inspector Kemp.Crew Members ages 15+Our backstage crew for this show will be assisting with set changes during scenes and songs. It will be necessary that crew members be in costume for this production. You must be at least 15 years old to work on the crew.
