All of Us at Atchley Opera

All of Us, with music by Hippocrates Cheng and libretto by K. Maya Kanazawa, is a contemporary opera set in a late-night pharmacy where two strangers step in to defend a teenager, and the aftermath of that act draws all three together in unexpected ways. The work explores the fragile bonds that can form in the wake of crisis and the quiet power of empathy and human connection. It is presented as part of a double bill alongside Unbroken, an opera rooted in historical truth about Czechoslovak political prisoner Milada Horáková and the letters she left behind for her daughter.
