Rover Opens 18th Season With Farce

Rover Dramawerks begins their 18th Season with the new farce Love, Lies & the Doctor's Dilemma by Michael Parker and Susan Parker. Performances will be at Rover's theatre in Plano, located in Ruisseau Village at 221 W. Parker Rd, Suite 580, at the northwest corner of Parker and 75. Performances run January 11-27 on Thursdays and Fridays at 8:00 p.m. and on Saturdays at 3:00 and 8:00 p.m.

Theatre Three announces the eighteenth and final production of its annual New Year's staple I Love You, You're Perfect, Now Change (ILYYPNC) from January 11 to March 4, 2018 in the downstairs Theatre Too space. As part of the final run, a special one-night-only fundraising performance featuring an all-star cast of past ILYYPNC productions will be performed on Wednesday, February 14, at 7:30 p.m. upstairs on the Norma Young Arena Stage.

A new and shocking version of Robert Louis Stevenson's classic tale of depravity, lust, love and horror. On the fog-bound streets of Victorian-era London, Henry Jekyll's experiments with exotic powders and tinctures have brought forth his other self Edward Hyde, a sensualist and villain free to commit the sins Jekyll is too civilized to comprehend. When Hyde meets a woman who stirs his interest, Jekyll fears for her life and decides to end his experiments. But Hyde has other ideas, and so the two sides battle each other in a deadly game of cat-and-mouse to determine who shall be the master and who his slave.
Elevator Project Accepting Submissions Through January

The nonprofit AT&T Performing Arts Center has started its new online submission process for the Elevator Project 2018/2019 season. Applications will be accepted beginning today through Wednesday, January 31, 2018 online here. The Elevator Project is a program that presents small, emerging and/or culturally specific Dallas-based arts groups and artists in performance space on the Center's campus in the Dallas Arts District. Applications can be submitted starting today at attpac.org/elevatorprojectapply.

Second Thought Theatre opens its first four-show season since 2013 with the area premiere of Hillary and Clinton by Lucas Hnath. Laura Colleluori makes her STT directorial debut after previously serving as assistant director and dramaturg for Grounded (2017) and A Kid Like Jake (2016). This year she directs a work of total fiction about a woman named Hillary who is trying to become the president of a country called the United States of America in an alternate universe light years away. Hillary and Clinton begins with previews on Wednesday, January 10 and runs through Saturday, February 3. All performances of Hillary and Clinton will take place at Bryant Hall on the Kalita Humphreys Campus, 3636 Turtle Creek Blvd. Tickets to Hillary and Clinton can be purchased online at 2TT.co.

Fort Worth Opera (FWOpera) announced today the exciting cast and artistic team of Brief Encounters, a witty, gripping trio of 15-minute pocket operas about love and marriage to be featured during the 2018 Fort Worth Opera Festival.
