Theatre Wesleyan presents quirky sci-fi comedy, IMPORTANT HATS OF THE TWENTIETH CENTURY, beginning Feb. 15

Theatre Wesleyan at Texas Wesleyan University is pleased to present the third production of the 2017-18 season, Important Hats of the Twentieth Century by Nick Jones.

Sam Greevy is the toast of 1920s women's apparel until the maverick fashion designer Paul Roms springs his radical creations in the world. The Sweatshirt, The Track Suit, Skater Pants: the clothes he comes up with are as if... they were from another dimension, and maybe they are.

As Greevy tries to adapt to rapidly changing fashions, a parallel drama unfolds in Albany, circa 1998: a teenager stoner keeps losing articles of clothing, and a man keeps bursting out of his closet and taking them.

Important Hats is directed by Bryan Stevenson, theatre department chair, and will open on Thursday, February 15 for a limited run of seven performances through Sunday, Feb. 25. Performances will be held at the Thad Smotherman Theatre on the Texas Wesleyan University campus at 1205 Binkley Street, Fort Worth, Texas, 76105.

Doyle), Darin Martin (Paul Roms), William Bull (Kern, etc.), Malik Offor (Darryl), Bria Huckaby (Bev), Tristen Brown (Jonathan), Torris Curry (Jimmy, etc.), Tobin Griffin (Dr. Cromwell, etc.), Kevin Dawson (Jay Gould, etc.), Michelle Phillips (Margaret, etc.), Ryan Simon (Billy, etc.), Lauren Garza (Nurse, etc.), Kayley Zeller (Mary), and Skylar Peters (Noblewoman).
