Watch Me Walk, written and performed by Anne Gridley and directed by Eric Ting, is a Soho Rep production that draws on Gridley's experiences since being diagnosed with Hereditary Spastic Paraplegia (HSP), a rare degenerative neurological disease shared by her mother and grandmother. Onstage, Gridley creates a space for unruly possibility, comic frankness, and taboo-breaking. A Nature Theater of Oklahoma founding member and two-time OBIE Award winner, Gridley brings her decades-long legacy of experimental theater-making to this work, which Hilton Als in The New Yorker called "a prime example of what we get when autobiographical theatre works: intelligence, and the ability to laugh at oneself, with one's heart, as always, in both the wrong and the right place."
