Disaster at Goshen Players

Goshen Players is pleased to present Disaster! a 70s disaster movie musical featuring some of the most unforgettable songs of the decade. “Knock on Wood,” “Hooked on a Feeling,” “Sky High,” “I Am Woman,” and “Hot Stuff” are just a few of the chart topping hits in this hilarious musical comedy with a book by three-time Emmy Award nominee and SiriusXM Broadway host, Seth Rudetsky, and Jack Plotnick. Reminiscent of 1970s disaster cult films such as The Poseidon Adventure and Airport 1975, Disaster! takes place in 1979 Manhattan during opening night of the Barracuda, the first floating casino and discothèque in New York. The characters gather unaware of impending natural disasters, and the ship’s lack of safety measures compounds these catastrophes. As the night turns into day, everyone struggles to survive and, quite possibly, repair the love that they’ve lost… or at least escape the killer rats.
