The Hartt School Announces 2009-2010 Dance Season

The Senior Dance Composition Concert, which features new choreography by graduating seniors, takes place on Friday, November 20, and Saturday, November 21, at 7:30 PM. Performances are in the Edward C. and Ann T. Roberts Foundation Theater at the Mort and Irma Handel Performing Arts Center, 35 Westbourne Parkway, Hartford.

The fall performance of Hartt Dances, features choreography by Katie Stevinson-Nollet, ballet excerpts re-staged by Hilda Morales and Alla Nikitina, works of original choreography by Miguel Campaneria, and a modern piece by a guest choreographer, to be announced. Performances are on Friday, December 4, and Saturday, December 5, at 7:30 PM, and Sunday, December 6, at 3:00 PM. The performances will be held in Millard Auditorium, University of Hartford, 200 Bloomfield Avenue, West Hartford.

The spring performance of Hartt Dances features dance faculty choreography, re-staging, and works of guest choreographers, to be announced. Performances are on Friday, April 30, and Saturday, April 31, at 7:30 PM, and Sunday, May 1, at 3:00 PM. The performances will be held in Lincoln Theater, University of Hartford, 200 Bloomfield Avenue, West Hartford.

Hartt's annual Collage Concert, which is free and open to the public, features two acts filled with continuous music, dance, and theatre. Hartt's gift to the community, Collage takes place on Friday, February 12, and Saturday 13, at 7:30 PM, in Lincoln Theater, University of Hartford, 200 Bloomfield Avenue, West Hartford.

Full Force Dance Theatre, The Hartt School's professional dance company in-residence, performs on Thursday, March 11, Friday, March 12, at 7:30 PM, and Saturday, March 13, at 2:00 PM and 7:30 PM, in the Edward C. and Ann T. Roberts Theater, Mort and Irma Handel Performing Arts Center, 35 Westbourne Parkway, Hartford.
