CONVERGENCE-CONTINUUM PRESENTS THE OHIO PREMIERE OF
TOM AT THE FARM, a psychological thriller
by Michel Marc Bouchard, translated by Linda Gaboriau OPENING FRI, JULY 12
This psycho-sexual thriller is the third play in con-cons 2019 Season: Star-Crossed. Following the accidental death of his lover, urban junior ad executive, Tom, travels from the city to a remote farm in rural Ontario for the funeral. There he finds a religious family who knows nothing of his existence, and is blindsided by his lost boyfriends legacy of untruth. The mother is expecting a girlfriend. His dead boyfriend's brother is hell-bent on preserving a facade of "normalcy." This causes some pretty humorous moments when Tom's gal-pal shows up; however, the brother's obsession also brings him to drag Tom into a twisted and brutal sexually-charged game to force Tom into joining the lies, until Tom finally faces the torment that drove his lover to live in the shadows of deceit.
TOM AT THE FARM is directed by con-con' Tom Kondilas. Members of the acting ensemble are Mike Frye, Daniel McElhany, Laura Starnik and Madelyn Voltz.
TOM AT THE FARM opens Friday, July 12 and runs Thu-Sat at 8 p.m. through August 3 at the Liminis Theater, 2438 Scranton Rd., Cleveland 44113 in the historic Tremont neighborhood. Fri and Sat tickets are $20 general admission, $15 for seniors and $10 for students. Thurs tickets are $15 gen. admission, $12 seniors and $8 students. Tickets and information are available at www.convergence-continuum.org and 216-687-0074.
