Convergence-continuum presents the Ohio premiere of THE PRIDE by Alexi Kaye Campbell, running March 29 April 20. The time-bending play, the first in con-cons 2019 Star-Crossed Season, interweaves the love stories of two similar couples separated by fifty years, each with very dissimilar outcomes.THE PRIDE is a collage portrait of two parallel love stories, in 1958 and 2008, between different pairs of characters, both named Phillip and Oliver. In 1958 Phillip, who is married to Sylvia, has an illicit affair with Oliver, which would have been considered a criminal offense if it were ever discovered. In 2008 a different Phillip and Oliver have the freedom to conduct their relationship in the open. But do they appreciate the freedom to be who they are - or even know what to do with that freedom? One play. Two stories. Three characters interweaving in time.
