Grammy Award-winning organist Paul Jacobs has been invited to appear as soloist with the Cleveland Orchestra and Music Director Franz Welser-Most, to give the highly anticipated American premiere of Bernd Richard Deutsch's Okeanos, Concerto for organ and orchestra. Performances are slated for Today evening, March 14, 2019 at 7:30 pm; Friday evening, March 15, 2019 at 8 pm; Saturday evening, March 16, 2019 at 8 pm; and Sunday afternoon, March 17, 2019 at 3 pm at Severance Hall, 11001 Euclid Ave, Cleveland, OH 44106.

At today's meeting of the Playhouse Square Board of Trustees, Board Chair James Ratner announced Art J. Falco's intention to step down from his current role as CEO effective June 30, 2019 after 28 years of visionary leadership at the helm of the not-for-profit performing arts center. Falco will continue to serve as a Senior Advisor for Special Projects, focusing on real estate initiatives and specifically The Lumen apartment tower.

The Cleveland Orchestra and Music Director Franz Welser-M st announced details of their 2019-2020 season which encompasses 76 concerts over 26 weeks. One significant highlight includes a festival designed to explore music and art that was banned, marginalized, and destroyed during the Nazi's Degenerate Art movement, and the continuing impact of censorship on creative expression in society today. The festival will center on Alban Berg's Lulu, one of the 20th century's most influential operas, and includes partner programming with the area's notable arts institutions.

Beck Center for the Arts will produce Teen Theater Production 13 in the Mackey Theater April 5 to April 14, 2019. This stellar cast of 25 teenagers shows how intense our lives can be at age 13. Getting a chance to performance on our largest stage, the Mackey Theater, is important to our students and their development as artists. Show times are 7:30 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays, and 3 p.m. Sundays. Student Matinee: April 11, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. Tickets range from $12 for adults and all patrons under the age of 18 are just $10 each. Group discounts are available. Schulz in the comic strip Peanuts. This production features an over-50 cast of acclaimed Cleveland area theatre professionals.
