The Cleveland National Air Show (CNAS) was the Gold Recipient of a Pinnacle Award in the Large Civilian Air Show category at the International Council of Air Shows (ICAS) convention held on December 7th in Las Vegas.  The ICAS Pinnacle Award program recognizes excellence in all areas of the air show industry and presented platinum and gold Pinnacle Awards to 13 outstanding air show programs in seven categories at its 49th annual convention.

National Endowment for the Arts (NEA) Chairman Jane Chu has approved more than $30 million in grants as part of the NEA's first major funding announcement for fiscal year 2017. Included in this announcement is an Art Works grant of $20,000 to Cleveland Play House (CPH) for the Building Drama Programs, Building Communities program. The Art Works category focuses on the creation of art that meets the highest standards of excellence, public engagement with diverse and excellent art, lifelong learning in the arts, and the strengthening of communities through the arts.
