Larson's Story TICK, TICK...BOOM! Plays Below Zero 4/16-18

A musical look at the courage it takes to follow your dreams, TICK, TICK... BOOM! is Jonathan Larson's autobiographical tale of a young composer on the brink of turning 30 and falling into oblivion. His girlfriend wants to get married and move out of the city (TICK,), his best friend is making big bucks on Madison Avenue (TICK...), yet Jon is still waiting on tables and trying to write the great American musical (BOOM!).

"tick, tick ... BOOM!" plays Thursday, April 16th - 8:00 pm Friday, April 17th - 8:00 pm Saturday, April 18th - 8:00 pm

Tick, Tick... BOOM! is "...an amiable public exercise in the sort of soul-searching sure to befall anyone approaching a milestone birthday haunted by specters of unfulfilled ambitions..." -
N.Y. Times

"Larson made something exciting and witty out of his obsessions. It's not flawless, but even so, we can enjoy him creating joy out of the pitfalls of life." -
N.Y. Post

"Tick Tick ... Boom!--set on "the edge of Soho" in 1990-- is anything but a somber-sided memorial. It is a witty, often wry celebration of a starving artist's perseverance at all costs, a battle not unlike the one faced by the leading character in a musical written by Stephen Sondheim." -
