Cincinnati Playhouse in the Park has announced the lineup of shows for its 2022-23 season, including the first in its new state-of-the-art Rouse Theatre. The 2022-23 mainstage season will feature eight shows, several of which the Playhouse will stage at venues around Greater Cincinnati in the fall of 2022 as construction of the Rouse Theatre is completed.
Cincinnati Playhouse in the Park, Cincinnati Shakespeare Company and Ensemble Theatre Cincinnati today issued a joint announcement that they will delay the start of their 2020-21 seasons due to the complex challenges around continuing live performances. All three theatres plan to kick off their revised seasons this winter with a smaller slate of rearranged, rescheduled or new shows.
I'll be the first to admit that when I read the show blurb for Cincinnati Playhouse in the Park's 'Alias Grace,' I was a little anxious and hesitant about seeing it. I knew the talent would be through the roof, and the production quality would be extraordinary, as always, but it was the subject matter that I feared. I am an absolute wimp when it comes to thrillers and murder mysteries. Yet, I spent the entire play on the edge of my seat, thoroughly enjoying myself and mourning the end when the lights came up.
Artistic Director Blake Robison announced Cincinnati Playhouse in the Park's 2019-20 season today, which includes plays from Karen Zacarias and Anna Ziegler, a new stage adaptation of a Margaret Atwood novel, a recent Broadway comedy hit and a world premiere from the award-winning, multi-cultural performance ensemble Universes.
