The Gizzard of Brownsville is one of six powerful plays featured in the WeWomen Play Festival at Artemisia Theatre, highlighting the work of Chicagoland-based feminist playwrights. Directed by a team of feminist directors, this festival aims to amplify women's voices and untold stories through theatrical performances. Each night of the festival will showcase a different play, with The Gizzard of Brownsville being performed on November 6th and 13th, 2024. The festival also includes works by notable playwrights such as Anna Schutz, Lani Montreal, and Melanie Coffey, creating a diverse lineup of fresh narratives.
