E.M. Forster was the author of such works as "Howard's End," "A Room With A View," and "A Passage to India," which earned him a prestigious reputation and sixteen Nobel Prize nominations. His only foray into science fiction, "The Machine Stops," is a prescient glimpse of our modern world through the eyes of an Edwardian Englishman; although published in 1909, it is the most timely work you will encounter in the age of Zoom, which, incidentally, is the perfect format to experience it. The Theater Lab's ensemble will bring this story to life with original artwork and vibrant performances in a medium that was science fiction not that long ago.
