Video: AN ENEMY OF THE PEOPLE Heads Into Rehearsal At Timeline Theatre
New video captures the cast and creative team gathering for the first time as they begin work on Amy Herzog’s adaptation of Henrik Ibsen’s play.
TimeLine Theatre has released a new video offering an inside look at the first rehearsal held in its new Uptown venue for AN ENEMY OF THE PEOPLE, the company’s inaugural production at 5035 N. Broadway in Chicago.
The video captures the cast and creative team gathering for the first time as they begin work on Amy Herzog’s adaptation of Henrik Ibsen’s play, directed by TimeLine Company Member Ron OJ Parson.
Previews will begin May 6, with a press opening set for May 14 at 7:00 p.m. Performances will run through June 7.
About The Production
Amy Herzog’s new version of AN ENEMY OF THE PEOPLE follows a doctor who discovers a public health threat in his community and faces resistance from local leaders when he attempts to expose it. The adaptation brings Ibsen’s play into a contemporary context, examining questions of truth, power, and civic responsibility.
Cast
The cast includes TimeLine Company Members Will Allan as Dr. Thomas Stockmann, Behzad Dabu as Peter Stockmann, Charles Andrew Gardner as Captain Horster, Anish Jethmalani as Aslaksen, and David Parkes as Morten Kiil. Also featured are Kenneth Hamilton as Billing, Grayson Kennedy as Hovstad, and Campbell Krausen as Petra Stockmann.
