Ruth on the Rocks is a dramedy written and performed by Ruth Guerra, who shares her experiences growing up as a Mexican American in Chicago's Southside. The autobiographical one-woman show explores themes of grief, love, and resilience against the backdrop of her late father's refrigerator repair shop in Back of the Yards. Directed by Ricardo Gamboa, the production runs at Free Street's Storyfront from October 11 to November 16, 2024.
