Persistent Spring 2026 at Ruth Page Center for the Arts

Chicago Movement Collective and Winifred Haun & Dancers present Persistent Spring 2026, the third annual showcase of early career and pre-professional dance artists from their two training programs. The evening features new works choreographed by Faith Balderrama, Imani English, Winifred Haun, and Abdiel Figueroa Reyes, alongside premieres from artists in WH&D's 3rd Coast Contemporary Dance program and CMC's Claire Bataille Legacy Scholarship Program. Performers from the 3rd Coast program include Steven Hou, Valerie Lowder, and Rachel Walker, while Ashton Craven, Caitlyn Cargnoni, Kalie Ferry, René, Katerina Willis, and Lauren Willman will present work from the Claire Bataille Legacy program. Both programs offer professional training to experienced dancers ages 17-26, with over 80% of graduates going on to dance professionally in Chicago, New York City, and the Midwest.
