Overnight at the Museum, written by Nia Akilah Robinson, is the recipient of the 2026 Blue Ink Award for playwriting at American Blues Theater. The play follows two Black men working as night guards who steal Ghanaian artifacts from a gentrified American neighborhood, racing to return them before the grand opening of a "Neo-African Museum" — a heist story that examines history, legacy, and art through a comic lens. A staged reading will be presented in August as part of the 2026 Blue Ink Playwriting Festival, alongside new work by finalists Benjamin Benne and Claire Crowley.
