Lungs by Duncan Macmillan is a witty, fast-paced play following an unnamed couple (M & W) through their relationship as they debate having a baby amidst global anxieties like climate change, exploring commitment, personal responsibility, and the ethics of procreation in a world facing crisis. The minimalist production, often with no set, uses their evolving conversations to cover decades, highlighting their communication struggles, moments of love, betrayal, and heartbreaking loss, ultimately reflecting on the big decisions and imperfections of modern life.
