One of the most popular operas of all time, its timeless and inspiring message of how faith, charity, unselfish love and good deeds can work miracles will fill your hearts with the true meaning of the season! With original direction by Francis Menotti, son of Gian Carlo, based on his father’s original 1951 production.
Opening with a prelude of holiday music and dance, in memory of Ruth Ann Koesun. Featuring singers from Chamber Opera Chicago with ballet dancers from the Ruth Page Arts Center, Spanish dancers from Ensemble Español, and world-champion Irish dancers! All ages. Performance lasts 90 minutes plus a 15-minute intermission.
