A world premiere stage adaptation of Becky Chambers' Hugo Award-winning solar punk novella, adapted by ensemble member Brynley Halverson and directed by Gaby Labotka. Centuries after the robots of Panga gained self-awareness and wandered into the wilderness, a tea monk makes an impulsive decision to venture beyond their vocation and accidentally becomes the first human to encounter a robot in centuries. The story features a fully formed nonbinary protagonist and explores life's biggest questions through an intimate meeting of two minds.
