YIPPIE FEST Returns to Chicago
YIPPIE FEST (www.yippiefest.com) will return with its second annual "happening" of acts on two stages for three days on - August 17th to the 19th, 2018 - presenting theater, comedy, music, short film and more on two stages at the PROP THTR, 3502 North Elston Ave, Chicago. YIPPIE FEST began in 2017 as an event that continued the performance tradition of the former Abbie Hoffman Died for Our Sins Festival (1989-2016). YIPPIE FEST 2018 also celebrates the 50th Anniversary of the Yippie Party at the 1968 Democratic Convention in Chicago.
With this announcement, the application (at www.yippiefest.com) for individual and group acts in theater, comedy, music, short film and more is now available. There is no fee to apply, and once approved, guarantees a spot in the three-day fest. This is an opportunity to join first-year acts like FREAK SHOW AND TELL, DB COMEDY, FAMOUS IN THE FUTURE, Rush Pearson, and HIPPOHORSEY DONKEYMONKEY.
The festival will feature a theatre bar, with specials throughout the weekend. The founders of YIPPIE FEST are stoked to take on the SPIRIT LEGACY of the Yippie Party in Chicago at 50.
