The North Carolina Black Repertory Company presents August Wilson's Fences from February 28 to March 16, 2025. The play follows Troy Maxson, a former baseball star turned garbage man in 1957 Pittsburgh, as he grapples with bitterness over lost opportunities and strained family relationships. Jackie Alexander takes on the role of Troy Maxson, while Rory D. Sheriff directs this poignant exploration of race, family, and ambition. This production marks the 40th anniversary of this acclaimed American classic.
