The York Symphony Orchestra presents Beethoven’s Sixth Symphony concert with theatre seats and 48-hour digital access options. Tickets starting at $12!
LUDWIG VAN BEETHOVEN: Symphony No. 6 “Pastorale” JOHANN STRAUSS, JR.: Tales from the Vienna Woods JILL HALEY: National Parks Suite No. 2
We begin transporting you to the natural world through the magic of music with Strauss’ famous Tales from the Vienna Woods — waltzes through the countryside with poetic justice. Followed by York Symphony’s oboe Jill Haley’s work, National Parks Suite No. 2, which embodies America’s beloved landscapes. We finish the evening with Beethoven’s Sixth “Pastorale” Symphony which expresses a range of emotions while in nature – the pure joy of rambling in the woods to crashing sounds of a looming thunderstorm.
The Hershey Symphony will perform “Beethoven's Belated Birthday Bash” on October 29, 2021 at 8 p.m. at The Hershey Theatre. The concert celebrates his 251st birthday since he was cheated out of his 250th in 2020.
