Gamut Theatre presents The Tempest by William Shakespeare, directed by Diego Sandino and featuring Melissa Nicholson as Prospera. Set on the island of Ometepe in Nicaragua, the production incorporates Spanish dialogue, traditional Latin song and dance, and costumes inspired by Nicaraguan culture. Original music is composed by Noah Smull and dances are choreographed by Jasmin Pantoja. The story follows Prospera, exiled with her daughter Miranda, as she uses the island's magic to confront old betrayals and enact a long-awaited reckoning.
