When lounge singer Deloris Van Cartier witnesses a murder, she is put in protective custody in the one place the cops are sure she wont be found: a convent! Disguised as a nun, the Vegas diva finds herself at odds with a starched Mother Superior, but using her dance moves and singing talent to inspire the choir, Deloris breathes new life into the community and herself as well.
