CRT Box Office Moves to New Location

By:

Cortland Repertory Theatre is announcing that their administration and box offices have moved to the new "CRT Downtown" building at 24 Port Watson Street in Cortland from their former location at 37 Franklin Street.  Office hours are Monday – Friday, 9:00 – 6:00 PM and Saturdays from noon to 6:00 PM.  The phone numbers have stayed the same: the Box Office toll free number is 800-427-6160 and the administration office line is 607-753-6161

Producing Artistic Director Kerby Thompson invites everyone to stop in and see the new offices and lobby of the building. "It's very exciting to see the change in the building, and we're thrilled to be in our new 'home'."  CRT is currently running a capital campaign to raise funds to continue the renovation of the building. "Our Capital Campaign goal is 2 million, which will give us a fully operating theatre in downtown Cortland.  Currently we've raised a little over a quarter of a million, which has helped us get this far," he says.  The next phase of the project includes a new roof and continuing the renovation of the side façade of the building.  In the lobby of "CRT Downtown" is a display of photos of the renovations and descriptions of the final architecture.

Thompson reminds ticket purchasers that all performances in the 2012 summer season will still be held at the Little York Pavilion.  "We have no plans to stop summer shows at the Pavilion.  This summer and future summer seasons will still be at the Pavilion."  The downtown location will hold fall, winter and spring productions. Plans for the new space include after school and weekend classes and theatrical workshops for youth and adults as well as offering a space for receptions, balls, proms and corporate events.

Box Office hours at the Little York Pavilion are on performance evenings only from 6:00 – 7:30, and on matinee Sundays from 11:00 – 2:00. Tickets are also available 24 hours a day, 7 day a week online thru the CRT website, for a slight additional charge.  Visit www.cortlandrep.org for ticket purchases, prices, a complete calendar of performance dates and times, and show descriptions.

Remaining shows in the CRT summer season include:  the magical musical "CATS" by Andrew Lloyd Weber from July 11 –28; the participation children's show "ALADDIN" on July 12, 14, 20 and 21 at 10:00 AM; Agatha Christie's murder mystery "THE HOLLOW" from August 1 – 11; the multiple-award winning dramatic comedy "THE DRAWER BOY" by Michael Healey from August 15 – 25; and "THE MYSTERY OF IRMA VEP" - a comedy/thriller/mystery by Charles Ludlam from August 29 – September 8. All evening performances begin at 7:30 PM.  Matinees are offered on select days, with a beginning time of 2:00 PM.

Tickets are also on sale for the fundraiser, "CRT CABARET NIGHT" to be held on Saturday July 21, which will be an evening of silent auctions and "tricky tray" raffles, with one-time-only, cabaret-style performances by the cast of "CATS". For more information, call the CRT Box Office at 800-427-6160.
