Vocalist John Minnock returns to Feinstein’s/54 Below for a high energy jazz-infused show, celebrating the recent release of his 2022 album, Simplicity (on Dot Time Records). With him is special guest, NEA Jazz Master and Grammy-nominee saxophonist, Dave Liebman. Mr. Minnock performs re-imagined standards and original material from the album, with the new title song "Simplicity" by music industry legend, David Shire.
Simplicity is the follow-up to Mr. Minnock’s acclaimed 2020 release Herring Cove, with material remaining faithful to and drawing from his background as a gay man and the LGBTQ community. Herring Cove also included a new song written for that album by David Shire, "After All These Years."
Minnock is the recipient of the 2019 HotHouse/Jazzmobile NYC Readers Best Male Vocalist award.
Please note that all artists and acts are subject to change at any time.
Proof of COVID-19 vaccination is required to enter the club.

Herring Cove came out a year ago, but John Minnock and his gang are still celebrating, and Thursday night was one heck of a party at 54 Below.

Joining Minnock for this special engagement will be Grammy nominated saxophonist Dave Liebman, plus pianist Sean Mason, bassist Carlos Mena and drummer Pablo Eluchans.
After a 15-month shutdown due to the COVID-19 epidemic, proprietors Steve Baruch, Richard Frankel, and Tom Viertel have announced that “Broadway’s Supper Club” Feinstein’s/54 Below will reopen its iconic red door for live performances on June 17, 2021.
Jazz singer John Minnock brings his very personal experience to his latest CD and hits one out of the park during Gay Pride in New York City.
John Minnock's third release as a leader, and debut recording for the GRAMMY nominated Dot Time Records, is Herring Cove. Due to be released on June 5th, Herring Cove pairs Minnock's signature tell-it-like-it is wit with introspective lyrics to paint a dynamic and compelling portrait of contemporary gay life.
On Friday, September 20th, fan-favorite jazz vocalist John Minnock presented an encore performance at Feinstein's/54 Below. Feinstein's/54 Below was filled to the brim with an attentive and energetic audience who raucously applauded after every song.

FEINSTEIN'S/54 BELOW, Broadway's Supper Club, presents critically jazz vocalist John Minnock on September 20, 2019 at 9:00 PM. For his second engagement at Feinstein's/54 Below, the new-breed vocalist will present an encore presentation of the music from his 2018 release Right Around The Corner as well as fresh new renditions of jazz classics. In his energetic live show John presents jazz, blues and cabaret classics in a way that has never been heard before with the help of special guest, National Endowment for the Arts Jazz Master and Grammy nominee Dave Liebman on saxophone. John's experiences as an openly gay man offers up a unique perspective that is at once eye-opening, touching and down right fun. Supported by a stellar rhythm section including pianist/arranger Enrique Hanenine (whose latest album The Mind's Mural hit #1 on the NACC Radio Chart) bassist Carlos Mena and drummer Pablo Eluchans, John's new 'gay-ahead jazz album' is a groundbreaker as it explores LGBTQ subject-matter in a jazz setting.
Vocalist John Minnock, who recently lit up the stage at the world-famous Feinstein's/54 Below alongside NEA Jazz Master Dave Liebman, will be returning to his home turf, Don't Tell Mama, this weekend! The jazz singer will take the stage at 8:30 PM on Saturday, April 27th.
