One of the world's leading pianists for more than thirty years, Bill Charlap served for nearly 20 years as Tony Bennett's primary pianist while leading his working trio with Kenny Washington and Peter Washington. The trio has been nominated for the Grammy in Best Jazz Instrumental Album for records including Somewhere: The Songs of Leonard Bernstein and Live at the Village Vanguard. Charlap performs with David Wong on bass and Dennis Mackrel on drums for two consecutive weeks at Birdland.
