In 2009, Chase Community Giving was introduced as a new way of giving by letting individuals vote online to help decide where some of Chase's donations go. Since the program's inception, over $28 million has been donated to thousands of charities across the country, contributing to JPMorgan Chase's overall giving of more than $600 million to nonprofit organizations over the past five years.
