Yvette Nicole Brown has dropped out of Greendale.

The COMMUNITY actress has confirmed to TV Guide that she won't be returning for the series' sixth season on Yahoo!, due to family reasons.

"My dad needs daily care and he needs me," Brown told the site. "The idea of being away 16 hours a day for five months, I couldn't do it. It was a difficult decision for me to make, but I had to choose my dad."

"Yvette was an integral part of Community and is irreplaceable. We are sad to see her go and wish her the very best," series creator Dan Harmon and executive producer Chris McKenna said.

Harmon and stars Joel McHale, Gillian Jacobs, Danny Pudi, Alison Brie, Ken Jeong and Jim Rash are all set to return, along with original executive producers Russ Krasnoff, Gary Foster and Chris McKenna.

"Community" is an ensemble comedy that centers around a tight-knit group of friends who all met at what is possibly the world's worst educational institution - Greendale Community College.

Krasnoff ("The Soloist") also serves as executive producer, along with Gary Foster ("Sleepless in Seattle"), Chris McKenna ("The Mindy Project") and Patrick Kienlen. Tristram Shapeero ("Nurse Jackie") is executive producer/director.
