Vulture to Return to Park City with the Vulture Spot

Vulture will return to Park City, Utah, with its exclusive media studio the Vulture Spot for a third year in a row from January 25-28, where editors will interview and photograph top talent from Sundance's most anticipated films. The video and photo content produced inside the studio will be showcased on vulture.com and Vulture's Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter accounts over the course of the festival and beyond. Sponsors for the Vulture Spot include Autograph Collection Hotels, Roku, and Woolrich. In addition, Autograph Collection Hotels and the Cut will co-host a "How I Get It Done" at Sundance Film Festival panel, the Cut's recurring event series about work/life balance, ambition, and success. Autograph Collection Hotels and Vulture will reunite that evening for an intimate celebration championing the philanthropic efforts of the Art of Elysium together with David Arquette and Shanola Hampton. Wrapping up the weekend, Vulture will host a brunch celebrating Girls Weekend, as well as IFC's Documentary Now! after-party, co-hosted with IFC.

Independent films are a product of vision and passion, but also a business endeavor that often comes with long hours and a lot of time on the road, residing in hotels as well as shooting in remote localities. Marking the Cut's first-ever event at Sundance Film Festival, Autograph Collection Hotels will bring the Cut's panel series "How I Get it Done" to Hotel Park City, with some of today's female visionaries - from behind and in front of the camera - sharing their perspectives on how to balance work and life and how they find inspiration in the places work takes them to fuel their creativity and contribute to their success. Moderated by the Cut's senior culture writer Allison P. Davis, the panel will include comedian and actress Phoebe Robinson; partner and co-head at UTA Independent Film Group Rena Ronson; award-winning actress and DGA nominee/producer and director of Girls Weekend Kyra Sedgwick; and president and CEO of the Will & Jada Smith Family Foundation Jana Babatunde-Bey.

Autograph Collection Hotels and Vulture unite the philanthropic efforts of the Art of Elysium alongside past Spirit of Elysium honorees David Arquette and Shanola Hampton, who will co-host the late-night soiree. Founder Jennifer Howell will be joined in Park City at the intimate gathering by industry guests, filmmakers, and artists to celebrate the first weekend of the Sundance Film Festival. Expected attendees include actors Haley Joel Osment and Tony Hale, filmmaker Kevin Smith, and comedians Jim Gaffigan and Reggie Watts, who will be on hand to toast the power of independent creative voices. The Art of Elysium's film and theater community engagement also includes academic programming that pairs emerging artists with established filmmakers to create fully funded feature-length films. These structured, curriculum-based educational programs provide opportunities for learning, mentorship, development, and distribution of viable projects.

VULTURE AND BIG SWING PRODUCTIONS HOST A BRUNCH CELEBRATING GIRLS WEEKEND

New York Magazine and Vulture will host a brunch celebrating Kyra Sedgwick's short film Girls Weekend, premiering at the 2019 Sundance Film Festival in the Indie Episodic section. Award-winning actress and DGA nominee/producer and director of Girls Weekend Kyra Sedgwick, creator Ali Liebegott, producers Valerie Stadler and Meredith Bagby, and director of photography Michelle Lawler will all be in attendance.

VULTURE AND IFC CO-HOST IFC's DOCUMENTARY NOW! AFTER-PARTY

Sunday, January 27 (7-10 p.m., invitation only)

IFC's Documentary Now! will be screening two new episodes, "Waiting for the Artist" and "Original Cast Album: Co-op," at the 2019 Sundance Film Festival. Following the screening and talk-back with the cast and creatives, Vulture and IFC will co-host the after-party with talent and friends of the show.
