Pop Culture Jeopardy! is back. Next month, the popular quiz show will return with a second season, moving from its home on Amazon to Netflix. With Colin Jost set as host, new episodes begin May 11 and will premiere on Netflix every weekday through June 5th.
Pop Culture Jeopardy! is a twist on the classic quiz show’s “answer-and-question” format that combines the academic rigor of Jeopardy! with the exciting and ever-changing world of pop culture. Contestants compete on teams to test their knowledge on a variety of categories as they compete in a tournament-style event for the grand prize and ultimate bragging rights.
The new trailer previews some of the categories, which include "Broadway on the Big Screen," "Pop Culture Crossword Clues," and "TV of the 2010s," among others. The footage also briefly shows two contestants costumed for "Only Howards in the Building," a reference to the ONLY MURDERS IN THE BUILDING character, played by Michael Cyril Creighton.
The show is produced by Sony Pictures Television. Multiple Emmy Award winner Michael Davies serves as executive producer, with Bari Jean Dorman as co-executive producer.
