AwesomenessTV's hit musical drama Side Effects scores a trifecta with its broadcast debut as a 90-minute movie on April 17 on E! (3 PM ET & 2PM CT) followed by its Digital HD release through Amazon Instant Video, Google Play, iTunes, MGO, Vudu, and Xbox on April 18. The E! broadcast will include never before seen content, which will then premiere on AwesomenessTV's Youtube Channel as the series' third season on April 18.

Co-produced by AWESOMENESSTV and Universal Cable Productions (UCP), Side Effects originally debuted in October 2013 as a long-form special on AwesomenessTV's Youtube Channel, generating over two million views in its first week. Its performance was equivalent to the #2 top-rated television show for the teen demographic that same week.

Rooted in the phenomenon of cover songs on YouTube, Side Effects is told from the perspective of 16-year-old Whitney Connolly who is prescribed a medication that comes with an interesting side effect - musical hallucinations - as she struggles with the death of her mother and the sudden disappearance of her father.

The series stars Chester See, Meg DeLacy, Lulu Antariksa, Cade Canon Ball, Finn Roberts and Keli Price, as well as YouTuber stars Grace Helbig, GloZell, Lia Marie Johnson, Arden Rose and Meghan Rienks. In addition to Top 40 pop covers like Katy Perry's "Roar," Ellie Goulding's "Burn," David Guetta's "Titanium" and Side Effects features two original songs: "Sweet Little Pill" and "Boom Boom."

"Great content works on any platform and at any length. Side Effects was the first time we experimented with long form content on Youtube and it was a huge success. Now viewers can choose to watch it as a movie on E!, download it or watch the third season on AwesomenessTV," said Brian Robbins, CEO and Founder AwesomenessTV. "In this on-demand universe, we want to engage our audience wherever they are."

"With its tremendous launch on AWESOMENESSTV and now its debut on E!, Side Effects proves that great content can gain traction in all forms of distribution," said Aimee Carlson, Vice President, Digital and Scripted Development at UCP. "As a studio, Universal Cable Productions remains invested in creating this kind of quality content for a variety of platforms."

Side Effects executive producers are Brian Robbins, Joe Davola, Shauna Phelan, star Chester See, and Allison Schroeder who also wrote the series. Side Effects is directed by Grammy®-nominated music video director Matt Stawski.

Season three of Side Effects will appear on AwesomenessTV's Youtube channel beginning April 18 over a four-episode arc, with episodes posting ever Saturday through May 9.
