TONIGHT - MAY 5

NHL Live, hosted by Kathryn Tappen with analysts Jeremy Roenick and Anson Carter, begins at 7 p.m. ET on NBCSN.

Game action begins at 8 p.m. ET on NBCSN, when the Blues look to fight off elimination at home in Game 5 against the Predators, as St. Louis trails NASHVILLE 3-1 in the series. The Predators are coming off a 2-1 win in Game 4, led by a 32-save performance by Pekka Rinne. Rinne leads all goaltenders this postseason in goals against average (1.33) and save percentage (.953). Defenseman Ryan Ellis scored in Game 3 for the Predators, and boasts a seven-game point streak (4g/5a). St. Louis has struggled offensively against Nashville, scoring one goal in each game in the Music City, and just one power-play goal in the series through four games.

NBCSN's coverage shifts west at 10:30 p.m. ET for Game 5 between the Ducks and Oilers. Anaheim tied the series with a 4-3 overtime win in Edmonton in Game 4, as Ducks captain Ryan Getzlaf factored on all four goals (2g/2a), including Jakob Silfverberg's game-winner. Connor McDavid scored his fourth goal of the playoffs in the loss. The road team has won each game in the series thus far.

*NOTE* - If Predators-Blues runs beyond 10:45 p.m. ET:

  • Predators-Blues remains on NBCSN for national audience, and satellite TV subscribers in Anaheim. This audience can find the start of Oilers-Ducks on NHL Network, NBCSports.com and the NBC Sports app;
  • Cable and AT&T U-verse subscribers in Anaheim market only will receive Oilers-Ducks on NBCSN, and can watch conclusion of Predators-Blues on NHL Network, and stream on NBCSports.com and the NBC Sports app;
  • Oilers-Ducks will return to NBCSN for all viewers immediately following conclusion of Predators-Blues.

SATURDAY, MAY 6

Henrik Lundqvist and the Rangers rebounded from two one-goal losses in Ottawa with a pair of dominant 4-1 wins in Games 3 and 4 at home to even the series. Oscar Lindberg scored twice for New York in Game 4 to help build the Rangers' lead. Senators defenseman Erik Karlsson left the game prior to the start of the third period, but Ottawa head coach Guy Boucher said Friday that Karlsson would be available for Game 5.

NBC's Saturday primetime game features Alex Ovechkin and the Washington Capitals with their backs against the wall vs. the Penguins, trailing 3-1 in the series following a 3-2 loss in Pittsburgh in Game 4. The Capitals were eliminated by Pittsburgh in six games in the second round last postseason after winning the Presidents' Trophy, and they will need to win three straight games to avoid the same fate. Sidney Crosby missed Game 4 with a concussion, and his status is unknown for Game 5.

SUNDAY, MAY 7

If necessary, NBC will present Game 6 between the Blues and Predators at 3 p.m. ET. NHL LIVE will handle pre-game coverage on NBCSN at 6 p.m. ET, leading into Game 6 between the Ducks and Oilers in Edmonton at 7 p.m. ET on NBCSN.
